OXS came about mid ’08 in a small town by the name of Omaha (AKA Omax), which is roughly an hour north of Auckland, after it was recognized that New Zealand was serverly lacking in any form of decent flatland skimboards. Sam Price took this upon himself to solve this issue before the following Summer arrived. Summer ’08/’09 arrived with a bang and flatland skimming in NZ with OXS on board (no pun intended…) now looks set to be the fastest growing sport for youngsters around the country!
