1st Place at the 2014 Southside Shootout
After the big win in Cabo, I had about a week home before I made my way off to Delaware for the 3rd stop of the UnitedSkimTour. We were blessed with some ride-able, but difficult conditions. Tybee Island Skim Camp
From Delaware I made my way to my hometown of Tybee Island Georgia, to run our first ever “Skim Tybee” Skimboarding camp. It was a pure success. It was an amazing experience to see how much interest in skimboarding we generated, and to teach the up and comers who were the same age as I was when I first started surfing and skimboarding the waves of Tybee Island. You can check out photos and like Skim Tybee facebook page.
In addition to the victory in Delaware and the success of our first ‘Skim Tybee’ skimboarding camp, I had the honor of being listed on SurferToday.com ‘s “Most Influential People in Wave Sports 2014” list. To be on a list next to guys like Kelly Slater , John John Florence, Al Merrick , Gabriel Medina, and all the rest, was a huge honor. [Read the story here]
