The east coast of Australia is simply amazing!
With a last minute tickets to Sydney, a backpack and two skimboards…all that was left was to grab a bus pass to take me north with as many east coast stops as possible.
Byron Bay had some of the best atmosphere through my trip, and was ideal (epic) if you cant get enough tide pools and fresh water stream riding, and the shore break was refreshing too!
Noosa Bay (north of Byron Bay) had cyclone conditions pushing through from the north which was making the longboard surf comp interesting with the strong current and messy waves, however there were excellent streams to skim outside of main beach.
Fraser Island was the most rad to skim day and night in almost any location on the 75 mile long sand island. Full of stream skim spots, camping by the beach, and fa nominal sunset and sunrise skim sessions on warm shore break waters.
